Music festival
The Woodstock Music Festival was considered to be one of the major events in the 1960’s . It is considered to be the largest rock and roll concert ever held with some of the most popular musicians of rock history performing there.
The festival was designed to accommodate something like 50,000 people, but word of mouth publicity was so effective that about 500,000 people showed up. The state of NY was unprepared and shut down the interstate highways going to the site, something that had never happened before.
